Step-by-Step Prep Workbooks

A series of workbooks and guides – including my Essential Brand Foundations Workbook – to help you gain clarity, organize your thoughts, and make our two week process together more efficient and impactful.


Essentials Brand

The elements you need to set a solid foundation for your visual identity. Includes a logo, alternate logo, and one submark, plus a color palette and font pairings.


Squarespace Website

Your website will be a 4-page re-skin of a robust template I’ve created myself, fully branded and lightly customized with your new logos, colors, and fonts.


Post-Project Support

You’ll have my full support via email for two weeks once we’re wrapped up, plus access to my growing library of how-to videos. And, I’ll be here as your new partner in design for ongoing projects as your business evolves and grows!

My Step-by-Step Process

You’ll have a couple of weeks to complete your prep work before we begin. Once our project officially kicks off, here’s how the timeline will unfold:

Week 1: Brand Focus

MONDAY

Alignment

We'll have a 60-minute call to discuss your prep work, plan your website, and outline the project goals. We'll also refine your moodboard and ensure we're aligned on the creative direction of your brand.

Tuesday-Thursday

Brand Design & Refine

I'll be hard at work making magic happen (aka designing your brand)! Once it's ready to present, you'll have at least one full day to let it sink in before feedback is due. If refinements are needed, we'll tackle them on Thursday until 3pm MT or until the brand is approved, whichever comes first.

Friday

File Prep

This day is dedicated to wrapping up your visuals and preparing all the files needed for your Brand Toolkit. I'll package everything together, including a printable style guide you can use as a reference to keep your brand beautifully consistent on all your marketing touchpoints.

Week 2: Brand Focus

MONDAY

Staging

I'll add your content to the website framework, including the copy you prepared and any stock photography we've sourced. I'll also incorporate your new logo, colors, and fonts to start bringing it all together!

Tuesday-Thursday

Website Design & Refine

I'll continue with customizations and also handle browser testing, mobile optimization, and basic SEO work. You'll have a full day to review the site before feedback is due, and refinements can be made through the end of the day on Thursday.

Friday

Launch & Celebrate!

You'll receive your Brand Toolkit plus full ownership of your new website. I'll include resources to help you learn, including my library of how-to videos. Now it's time to celebrate... you'll have a new brand and website ready to share with the world!

Once we determine the Two-Week Brand & Website Intensive is right for you, we’ll choose a start date, get you on the books, and make it official.

Step 2

Do Your Prep Work.

With the help of video walkthroughs, you’ll begin a series of workbooks that will set a foundation for the visuals and lay the groundwork for your website.

Step 3

Do the thing!

We’ll stick to my tried-and-true framework, focusing on your visual brand the first week, and building out your website the second week. Everything will be ready to launch on the last day!

FAQ

  • Yes, but it’s easier thank you think! I’ve created a step-by-step workbook to help you write website copy based on the tried-and-true StoryBrand framework.

    However, I know that not everyone has the time or interest to write their own website copy, so you do have the option of hiring this out. Just know that the website copy will need to be completed before we begin the Two-Week Intensive.

  • Don’t sweat it! I’ve prepared a series of helpful how-to videos to help you perform some of the most common tasks on your website with ease. Plus, you will find seriously endless tutorials on all things Squarespace with a simple Google search.

  • Absolutely! Squarespace is my go-to platform simply because it is so straightforward to use. Your website won’t be bogged down with sophisticated plug-ins that require odd workarounds. Just easy peasy, simple design here!

  • Because your new website will be built on a ready-made framework, it does need to be installed on a new Squarespace site. If you already have a subscription, it’s usually pretty easy to cancel by contacting Squarespace support and simply telling them you’ve started a new one.

  • The Two-Week Intensive is a quicker, more affordable offering compared to other packages. You’ll get my same design eye and expertise, but generally your brand and website will be simpler (and easier to use!)

  • Website templates are often not as simple as you think – you’ve got to watch dozens of videos just to understand how they work, then you’ve got to download design files and edit them yourself in Canva. Sometimes it’s even more difficult than making your own site from scratch! The difference here is that I do ALL of the work for you, so that when our two weeks is up, your brand and website are ready to launch and share with the world!

  • Every project will require an annual Squarespace subscription. You may also want to set a budget for fonts, which can be anywhere from $20 for basic fonts or up to $200 for very bespoke ones. We’ll discuss your preferences for this on a call together.

  • For the Two-Week Intensive, the brand and website go hand-in-hand and it’s important that I design both for you. However, I do sometimes make exceptions, so please get in touch and we’ll discuss.
